Tier labels on Mochileaf are a compass, not a verdict. Rankings follow neverness.gg’s tier list (S+ and S tiers are shown together as S here). Lacrimosa stays A while that site still lists her as TBD.
What we look at
- Story and presentation — Does the character feel complete in cutscenes and exploration?
- Accessibility — Can a newer player enjoy them without perfect gear?
- Daily comfort — Are they pleasant to bring along for commissions and casual anomalies?
We also note when someone shines in City Tycoon, co-op, or later chapters—but we avoid calling anyone “mandatory.”
What we skip
Patch-week rankings copied from speedrun communities, whale-only comparisons, and language like “must pull” or “dead unit.” Those change too fast and rarely match a cozy playstyle.
Using the list
Treat tiers as invitations to explore, not orders to rebuild your roster. If you love an A-tier face more than an S-tier banner star, keep them on the team—the point of NTE on Mochileaf is finding characters you enjoy spending time with.
