Animal Crossing: New Horizons is not getting a fresh version patch in June 2026 — the latest game update remains 3.0.3 from late April. That does not mean the month is quiet.
June is one of the busiest calendar months on the island: Wedding Season runs the full month, summer critters rotate in (or out), and Northern Hemisphere players get Flick’s Bug-Off before July arrives.
Wedding Season — all of June
From June 1 through June 30, Reese and Cyrus return to Harv’s Island for daily wedding photo shoots. Isabelle announces the season on the first day; Harvey calls you in to help style chapel setups in Photopia.
Decorate the room with wedding furniture, snap a photo, and earn Heart Crystals plus wedding-series items. Crystals trade with Cyrus for more decor — up to eight purchases per day. Better styling generally means more crystals, so treat it like a gentle daily creative prompt, not a min-max race.
Able Sisters and Nook Shopping also rotate wedding-themed clothing and small items through June (shiromuku pieces, nuptial bells, ring pillows, and similar pieces depending on your catalog progress).
Both hemispheres share the same Wedding Season dates — no north/south split for this event.
Bug-Off — June 28 (Northern Hemisphere)
While Wedding Season is a month-long mood, Flick’s Bug-Off is a single-day sprint: Saturday, June 28, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on Northern Hemisphere islands.
Talk to Flick in the plaza to enter three-minute catching rounds. Your first entry is free; repeats cost 500 Bells. Every 10 points earns a prize item, and Flick buys bugs at 1.5× value on event day — a nice bonus if your storage is overflowing.
Southern Hemisphere players wait until their winter Bug-Off months (November–February cycle); June is their tarantula-and-sea-creature season instead.

Community guides for June 2026 highlight a few overlapping Nook Shopping moments worth peeking at between wedding runs:
- Dragon Boat & Dano Festival items — mid-June
- Summer / Winter Solstice decor — June 15–21 depending on hemisphere
- Father’s Day and International Children’s Day themed pieces — various June windows
Critter lists shift too: Northern Hemisphere summer brings sharks and river fish like Dorado and Arowana; Southern Hemisphere winter players should watch sea creatures and fish leaving after the month ends.
A low-stress June plan
- Daily: one Wedding Season shoot if you are chasing Heart Crystals for a specific piece.
- Weekly: check Nook Shopping for solstice or festival items you like.
- June 28 (NH): stack nets, clear flowers near the plaza, and treat Bug-Off as a social afternoon — not a perfection sprint.
If you are still on an older save, remember Wedding Season requires version 2.0+ — and the January 3.0 resort update is worth installing first if you have been away since 2022.
Event dates follow the standard annual ACNH calendar for June 2026. Critter availability depends on hemisphere and island setup.
