Characteristics
Appearance
Shino is a cream-white deer with a white muzzle, small fangs, gold hooves, and ears and tail that fade to light gray at the tips. Elongated eyeshadow and eyebrows styled like a Noh mask shape her expression into something theatrical; two red horns curve from her forehead in kabuki fashion. Tusks and antler hints nod to musk deer lore — she is the only female deer villager with horns on her head.
Personality
Shino glows peppy — cheerful gifts, fast moods, short memory for spats, and easy friendship for neighbors who match her festival energy. Snooty and cranky barbs hurt when gossip turns personal; lazy neighbors can feel awkward in pace while jocks, smug villagers, big sister types, and fellow peppy neighbors keep her alight with shared sparkle. She may overreact to small things yet forgives quickly, handing out compliments and presents to those she trusts most on the island, bright as the mask-inspired poise she wears every day on the plaza. Loyal neighbors find her warmth festival-bright.
