Scoot is a green duck with pink cheeks, determined eyes, and white headgear marked 1–5 like a Japanese swimming cap — numbering that suggests second class of first grade or first-year high school depending on hallway context at a typical school. The cap gag pairs with an indoor-pool home theme; New Horizons lightens his green slightly and widens his eyes compared to earlier outings on the plaza path.

Personality

Scoot carries jock energy — sports talk, fitness pride, friendly nudges about exercise, and comments on the player's stamina with earnest bravado. Peppy and smug villagers match his pace; snooty neighbors bristle at critiques of their routines, and cranky villagers tire of hype that never quite winds down. While often friendly, his hyper personality can annoy quieter types until they see the encouragement beneath it.
